











I'm currently working on a school management system, in an iterative discovery loop: building prototypical parts of the system, putting them in front of users, and folding their feedback into each iteration — progressively uncovering an unfamiliar domain and its vocabulary. Over time converging on UI/UX that works for the end users, and refactoring repeated patterns.
As Head of Engineering, I was responsible for technology strategy and line management as the company grew from £1.3m to £4m per month.












As an EM or an IC, the more you ground your work in what the world is telling you, the more effective it can be. I tried to catalogue all the feedback loops I could think of, and the different ways they could be cut.

There are many recurring decisions a product company faces — and for those decisions there are a range of feedback loops that can inform the decision.
